House Chiurgeon
[05/27/2002] [Malek Marlschev]There is a new household on the block. House Chiurgeon. Chiurgeons will provide basic first aide on the field. House Chiurgeon is a service-oriented household. Its primary purpose is to provide first aide response on the field. Members are also expected to work with event autocrats to provide a go-to person for injuries at events. Members are also expected to carry a basic first aide kit with them when on the field and acting as Chiurgeon. Membership requirements:
Qualifications: Must have a current mundane first aide and CPR certification. Other medical certifications will be considered, such as EMT, CNA, RN, NP, PA, MD etc. Other work and military certifications will be considered on a case-by-case basis. Certifications must be current and members may be asked to provide documentation showing the current certification. On the field:
Members should wear a belt favour or pouch with the house symbol on it. When arriving at the field or event, members should announce themselves as chiurgeon to the event autocrats. If there is an injury and the chiurgeon is called for, the chiurgeon should call a personal hold and respond as quickly as possible to the injured party. The injured person should not be permitted back on the field until the chiurgeon is satisfied that they are fit to continue. The chiurgeon should work with autocrats and reeves to enforce this if needed. There is also a mailing list for the house -
