Willow Was Running, Goldenvale List Confirms
[02/02/2003] [News]The position of Champion is awaiting Dame Willow's acceptance or denial, according to a post sent to the Goldenvale list by kingdom scribe Dame Fionna. "Dame Willow [was one of] only two candidates who qualified and declared for Champion," Dame Fionna said on the Goldenvale list. Willow was also qualified to become consort and had been asked by King Goliath if she wanted the office. Dame Fionna's notes stated that, as per the results of an Althing, a tournament to decide who would be champion would be held if Dame Willow chose to accept the invitation to be consort of Goldenvale. Willow declined the invitation and instead opted for the office of Champion which she declared and qualified for. "[Dame Willow] gave me no impression that she was running for Champion," King Goliath said. "It was King Goliath's impression that she declared for ALL THREE OFFICES," Dame Katala, who signed a letter in support of King Goliath, said.
