King Arion Dissolves Tir a Sol
[05/13/2003] [News]Regarding the Northern Principality of Tir A Sol - For most of the previous four months, the Prince and Regent of the pricipality have been residing in Kerrville. Due to largely mundane issues, their collective attendance in Tir A Sol has been minimal. The Principality recently announced a change of leadership on this list. As previous Kingdom Regent and current Monarch, I can say to each of you that I was never made aware of any elections held to replace officers. At this time, it appears that no parks outside the Greater Killeen area were afforded the opportunity to participate in the elections for officers. The original regions included within the Tir A Sol principality were the Greater Austin and Greater Killeen metro areas, surrounding communities, and those in between. I can attest that no records have been forwarded to the kingdom in recent months. This most recent action of voting irregularity is effectively the last straw. I will not go into previous alegations regarding irregularities in records under the administration of the principality here. Simply I will say this - The Celestial Kingdom no longer recognizes the existence of a Northern principality within the kingdom. Each park formerly considered to reside within the pricipality may now plan on submitting weekly sign-in documentation, populace waivers, Orders & Awards information for your membership directly to the Kingdom Prime Minister. All of that information is required to be submitted to the Crown three weeks prior to Midreign. No exceptions. Members of the populace who believe that they are not being served by their local parks effectively may submit paper evidence of their orders and awards directly to the Crown. As some of you may remember, the Principality of Tir A Sol was originally created with the understanding that the group would continue to grow in populace, mature in officer development and records maintenance and eventually be able to be sponsered by the Celestial Kingdom at Clan as a separate Kingdom. That never happened, membership severely declined, officer development did not occur - in many cases, nobody wanted to offices, and finally, records have been lost at an alarming rate. Our collective experiment has failed to bear fruit... or at least the kingdom that we wished. It may be tried again in the future, but for now, there is no point in continuing the farce. Additionally, at the time of the creation of Tir A Sol, a similar structure was set up in the remaining portions of the kingdom to provide a balanced mechanism to allow for a similar opportunity of awards and order attainment to be available for the kingdom membership. With Tir A Sol gone, I will enter into discussions with the current officers and members of the Grand Duchy of the South to inquire if that structure could be voluntarily dismissed at the end of the terms of the current officership with the gratitude and appreciation of the Crown for successfully maintaining the balancing mechanism. Regards to all - ~ Arion Reinquist Rex Celestium
