For Everyone First, this new moon is a Total Solar Eclipse! As we know, eclipses take all the planetary signatures present and effectively turn them up to eleven. For Lunar eclipses, this effect lasts for about a month. Solar eclipses, on the other hand, feel the echo for about six months. Also, the chart for this moon finds fully half the planets grouped together in Sagittarius, meaning there's a truly stunning level of Sagittarian energy afoot. The symbol for this sign is traditionally a centaur wielding a bow, but in modern times has been abbreviated to just an archer. The truth of the imagery, however, is even simpler than that: Sagittarius is the Arrow itself, going, in mid-flight. It doesn't know where it's going, it doesn't care where it's going. It's just going. Single-minded drive, forward-looking intensity, the need to travel and explore new places, utter faith in the laws of reality--gravity, speed, the necessary arc to hit a target at distance, everything that shows us, physically and metaphysically, how our world works. That's the flavor of the sign, and with five planets there, it's also a large ingredient in the flavor of the month to come. The thing about Sagittarius is that while Scorpionic intensity tends to be deeply hidden or carefully controlled, Sagittarius is the archetype of mutable fire. Energy must find a course, like that arrow zipping through the sky, or an explosion ripping through whatever contains it. This month we have the potential to do things we wouldn't normally consider, because we get caught up in the mad rush of it all. (Holiday shopping, for example.) With this in mind, be aware of passionate outbursts. We will need an outlet for this energy well beyond our day-to-day coping mechanisms. Luckily, with the holidays upon us, there are plenty of avenues to direct that energy. Beyond this, there are specific risks of irrational arguments, jumping to conclusions, unfounded judgments, and an unwillingness or inability to sit down and communicate with calmness and clarity. We may fear that we are the object of power plays in personal politics. We may question what we are doing in our relationships, and what our sex lives really mean for us. We may be forced to take a hard look at our financial standing, and issues of inheritance might pop up in our lives. With all these thoughts spinning through our heads this month, it might seem perfectly natural for things at work to get a little spacey. Obviously, the holidays are already a high-pressure time of year to begin with (which also has to do with the astrological calendar, but I'll save that for its own article). The best solution for coping is really to sit back and watch as much as possible. Their stress is not your stress. Be compassionate without taking on burdens that don't belong to you. Enjoy the Sagittarian drive without being consumed by its fire. All this month's energy of motion coalesces at Yule, December 21st. Once we reach Solstice, the days begin to grow in length again, and the cold renewal of winter can begin.
Aries (Mar 21-Apr 19) This month brings lots of energy for travel and higher education, however there is tension related to work environs and health issues. Arguments that seem like déjà vu are a good clue to what you're not dealing with. Go out of your way to prevent stress-related illness. Taurus (Apr 20-May 20) This month you crave something new. A change in your appearance or style is possible. Tension in your relationships is likely, with misunderstandings causing pain around some deeply personal issues. Silence makes issues fester. Gemini (May 21-June 20) This month you may feel like you're in a tug of war with your partner. Talking things out is good, but you may find yourself talking in circles. Power issues come to the fore, both in your family and at work. Keep your calm and resist the urge to throw gasoline on the fire. Cancer (June 21-July 22) This month, things are positively nuts at work. Everyone wants more of you than you can give. Learn that it's okay to say no. Otherwise you will end up sick in bed. Exaggeration and verbal escalation is a major risk, too. Don't let things spiral out of control. Leo (July 23-Aug 22) This month, be very careful of excessive spending. Love is on your mind, and your desire to express that love lavishly is in high gear. Unfortunately, that lack of financial restraint will bite you at bill time. This month is also a great time for creative work. Kids flock to you. Virgo (Aug 23-Sept 22) This month, you want everything to be perfect, especially at home. It may even seem that partners and family members intentionally obstruct your plans. If so, treat it as a sign to scale back. The details aren't worth stressing out or alienating yourself or family. Libra (Sept 23-Oct 22) This month, the emphasis is on love. You may feel in love with love and the things you love, and want to tell everyone everything you think and feel about the subject until everyone's positively sick of you. By contrast, things are productively subdued at work. Scorpio (Oct 23-Nov 21) You did a lot of soul-searching last month. This month you're learning to put that knowledge to work as you build a new, better self-image. Supportive friends are vital. It's okay to need to feel appreciated. Find new creative outlets for your intense drive. Sagittarius (Nov 22-Dec 21) Happy Birthday! You've got phenomenal energy to put toward your personal projects this month. Use it wisely, as you'll find yourself walking a bit of a tightrope between opportunities at work and the demands of home. Talk the stress out with your partner. Capricorn (Dec 22-Jan 19) This month, attention is drawn to the institutions in your life, especially educational, legal, and health care systems. Old business comes to light. Long term illnesses demand proper attention. Spirituality may feel suddenly warm and necessary. Aquarius (Jan 20-Feb 18) This month you feel enormous drive to earn money. Creditors ease off a bit as you push yourself toward more income. Emotionally, you feel a huge need to be loved and valued. Talking it out with your partner will ease the risk of overcompensation. Pisces (Feb 19-Mar 20) This month you're pushing through boundaries like water, simply by being who you are. Be careful not to disrespect others' space, though. It's a very combustible time at work. Be delicate: a little tension could easily explode into some serious career problems.

You wonder if anybody's listening, and then they quote you back to yourself. Except they're misquoting and twisting your words. Shouting makes it worse. Cultivate earthy calm. Bards You've got a taste for a new arrangement, a new pairing, a new interpretation. It's timely, energizing. Singers, as well as audience members, want to refresh their interest. Retire the moldy oldies. Warriors, Paladins, Anti-Paladins Competition and risk-taking is rife this month. You want the title of best of the best. You want to be the hottest thing on the field, in the tourney, across the game. You push. Control your force. Wear your protective gear. Do not get hurt. Don't hurt anyone else. Healers It's a busy month for casualties. People fly off the handle far too readily, which means you've got your hands full. Steady and thorough trumps speed in all but the most pressing tactical situations. Wizards You're fighting with authority again. As usual, there are some creative ideas coming out of the friction, but you have to ask yourself how much alienation is worth it. If you can handle it, hold the course and produce some innovative new ways of doing things. You should already be used to doling out the hard-sell. Assassins No hope of stealth this month unless you hide in plain sight. Blend into the crowd. Shout with the masses. You'll still be seen, but maybe you'll be mistaken for something innocuous. Barbarians and All Monster Races You're unusually visible this month, perhaps because it's finally cold enough to wear fur comfortably. As usual, no one knows what you will do, including yourselves. But whatever you do, you'll have a captive audience. Archers, Scouts, Druids, and Monks There's potential for some excruciating conflict this month. Arguments are par for the course, unless you simply choose to walk away from all the hot air. Garbers and Artisans You're still riding the wave of last month's creative tidal wave.
